First Alert Forecast

SATURDAY NIGHT

Showers and thunderstorms are possible east of HWY 63 overnight. While the heaviest rain looks to be closer to the Mississippi River, if it decides to build further west into central Missouri, there could be a few issues with flash flooding. Therefore, just in case that scenario plays out, there is a Flash Flood Watch in effect for Monroe, Audrain, Callaway, Osage, Gasconade and Montgomery counties until 10am Sunday.

SUNDAY

Mostly sunny, hot and humid. Highs in the middle 90s. Heat index 100 to 105.

MONDAY

Partly sunny with an isolated storm possible. Likely the last excessively hot and humid day for the week. Highs in the lower 90s. Heat index 98 to 105.

THIS WEEK'S WEATHERMAKER

A cold front will drop down from the north on Tuesday and then park itself over central Missouri until it slowly starts pushing north on Friday. Along with abundant moisture, this boundary will provide the convection necessary for passing showers and thunderstorms all week. There will still be plenty of dry time, but each day has a chance for one or two rounds of rain. This will also help keep temps at bay, with highs in the middle 80s (seasonal) all week and lows near 70º.

TUESDAY

Mostly cloudy with showers and thunderstorms possible. Highs in the middle 80s.

WEDNESDAY

Partly sunny with showers and thunderstorms possible. Highs in the middle to upper 80s.

THURSDAY

Mostly cloudy with showers and thunderstorms possible. Highs in the middle 80s.

FRIDAY

Mostly cloudy with showers and thunderstorms possible. Highs in the middle 80s.

SATURDAY

Partly sunny with a chance for an isolated shower or storm. Highs in the middle 80s.
